UPDATE: Fuck it. It came back.

ATTENTION: It is highly recommended that you may want to view this journal before assuming the worst about your artwork being "stolen". This journal is specifically a WARNING to all deviant users out there in the Deviantart community about another website that is extremely similar to Wallpart.com. Reader discretion is advised. You can share/spread this journal around aswell, it is highly appreciated. :)

Heyo guys! It's Mimi here once more. And I would like to discuss the following from you guys since I've been getting a lot of notifications from my activity feed about people's art supposedly being "stolen" by the following website named "Payposter". At first, I've checked out the website to see if my art was stolen aswell, and unfortunately yes, I was a victim. And so were some of my friends too.
Savdraws by Mimi-DiggzSaltymilk by Mimi-Diggz
Stariaat by Mimi-Diggz

(The artists are SavDraws , Captain-Dark-Kitty , and Stariaat btw.)

But this site is not what it seems. Period.

Payposter (like WallPart) is a site that likes to prey on artists, and the only way they'll be doing so is by grabbing their attention, which is by using the Google search engine to snatch some google images from the links made by Deviantart.  But fear not, YOUR ARTWORK IS NOT BEING STOLEN AND SOLD OFF AS POSTERS. SO LOWER YOUR PITCHFORKS...

However....

If you happen to come across this site earlier and has seen that your artwork has been "stolen", DO NOT. AND I REPEAT: DO NOT MAKE REPORTS ON YOUR "STOLEN" ARTWORK ON PAYPOSTER. AND DO NOT SEARCH FOR THIS SITE, IT'S A TRAP. (main reason why I'm not linking it. And yes, I am risking my computer stupidly while taking screenshots for you. Don't take my sacrifice in vain. Lol.)

It is HIGHLY likely to be a phishing site. It may be using this scam technique as a way to gain YOUR personal information and USE IT. If you have visited this site, for safe measure, PLEASE run a virus scan on your computer or mobile device.

(This is optional, but is highly recommended for those of you who have weak computers. But for me, I would recommend using Malwarebytes with the 14-Day Free Trial because it easily tracks more threats that other anti-virus softwares don't usually pick up on your computer. Here's the link to download it: www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-downl… )

(And for those who are using Mac, there's an anti-virus for you aswell: www.clamxav.com/ Both are good sources.)

BUT DO NOT PANIC IF YOU HAVE ALREADY FILED A REPORT TO PAYPOSTER! CALM YOURSELF.

It's not a 100% guarantee that your computer would immediately get a virus from simply going to the site or even searching your username on the site. HOWEVER, if you did fill out a report on the site, again, it is recommended that you should scan your computer and maybe change your passwords on any site you have personal information with. (DA, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, any social media outlet, etc.)

And remember Wallpart.com?
Walpart by Mimi-Diggz
(DON'T LOOK THAT UP EITHER. HAVE SOME JOURNALS INSTEAD STOP! DONT REPORT WALLPART.COMPlease read this, especially those who have created journals about this subject!
It's a scam site!
I have heard/ seen many people complain and post up journals about this site. About how they see their art because "stolen" or put up for "sale".
It's all a lie and a scam! It's a Phishing site!
The phishing worked through a Copyright form that users would fill out to report infringing images. Basically, the artist or their representative would fill the form out, but it would capture additional information and pass it along to the site administrators.
Though WallPart claims to be a Poster Shop, it really functions as a scraper, taking results from Google Image search and sticking the images into a store-like template.
You can prove this easily yourself by searching for unusual things in WallPart and then performing the same search on Google Images, limiting your results to very large images.
You can read more about it here.

Wallpart is not stealing your artI found this on Tumblr and thought I should share it. I have had a few people tell me Wallpart has stolen my art and is selling it. Thankfully, I never filed anything, just looked and was like "ugh, art theft again" and left it at that.
I wanted to bring this to DeviantART due to a lot of people (including myself) not knowing.
Here is the link to original Tumblr post:

In case you aren't comfortable following links (which is good, you should never click on a link from someone you don't trust), I'll copy and paste it here. Post by AskCharlieFoxtrot on Tumblr.

Your art isn’t being stolen: Wallpart is a phishing site
https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2015/07/3
) Yeaah...that is a scam website too, infested with viruses, and has since been a literal nightmare/memory for deviants on here. Anyone who actually were fooled to buy things from that website were more likely to get phished. This one however, is indeed a Wallpart 2.0 atleast. And worst of all, after your computer gets compromised by the scammers, that mug with Sans on it that you bought for yourself on Christmas won't be at your door after the free 3-Day shipment. Saddening, isn't it?

Also take a look at this....this is their Terms of Service. -_-'

So basically, out of the...unusual grammar....they simply don't take responsibility for anything that their users post on their site. And are being total hypocrites. (Yes, you can even sign up to Payposter just to submit stolen artwork, but unfortunately, there are little "surprises" on their main page so that people may view it.)

Eyup. Porn, fetish, and nudity are on there aswell. :T (Lol I love cencoring stuff it's fun.)
No Stop 2 by Mimi-Diggz

(But Seriously don't visit this site. Just...don't. But it will be AT YOUR OWN RISK if you do.)

This site is a total mess and it should be shut down, because it does violate a lot of laws (including art theft).

Now, what should YOU DO?

Search for the web-host of the site and report the site to them instead. A lot of sites use some type of web-host to set up their own site. (Website builders anyone?) So reporting Payposter to its original web-host can get the site removed from its listings so that it will be extremely difficult for a random user to reach it OR shut down the site completely. But sometimes it doesn't work. (You can try though, I highly recommend it if you see your art being used by Payposter.)

Here's the Web-Host: www.similarweb.com/website/pay…

But if your too lazy, there is a second option aswell that is highly recommended too, there's a petition still open to shut down the website and it has over 2,000 supporters thus far, so please sign it while you still can (They are almost there reaching their goal): www.change.org/p/department-of…;

And again, let me remind you TO NOT VISIT THE WEBSITE. PLEASE... -_-' My only exception was because I have a very strong computer that is currently protected from viruses. And that I'm only taking screenshots as mere evidence of this scandal. VISIT THE WEBSITE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I am not responsible if you suddenly became a dumbdumb and went to the site because of this journal. Just c'mon man. Don't do it. But if you are curious to see that if your art will be there, then again I have no action to stop you. You have been WARNED.

You can also visit these journals for more information on this case: payposter.com/[[DON'T CLICK IT!]]UPDATE March 2, 2017: Okay so apparently there's been an uptick in activity on this journal and while I don't really have anything further to say I do ask that you read the whole journal before asking questions as I think a lot of questions are already answered within the context of this journal.
I know people are still panicking about this site but don't -- Just sign the petition and move on -- https://www.change.org/p/department-of-justice-shut-down-payposter-com

Don't file reports on it, don't go searching on it, just sign the petition and be done. The less revenue and traffic that PayPoster gets the better.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so I have seen and been noted about my work being posted and 'sold' on the website -- http:// payposter. com/ DON'T CLICK THE LINK If you find it -- Seriously... Don't.
---------
Be warned about PAYPOSTERI have to edit the entire journal because payposter is nothing but a phishing site and sure i added updates that was shown first but still i think its best I just re-edit it. I will admit i should of waited it out to see the actual info or such that its confirmed to be a phishing site. So yes, I apologize for that.
I highly advise do not go onto PayPoster.com it is nothing but a phishing site and may or may not have some virus on the site. it can or can not we dont know 100% but its best you dont. If you want to, do it at your own risk. Dont give out any information at all because thats what it wants you to do.
more Information about it go to this journal here:
Spread the word about it so every artist is warned if they did get the memo about payposter is stealing peoples artwork. best to warn them and keep everyone safe.
Please Stay safe fellow Artists!

Thank you for reading my friends. And remember:
